Charles Gershman is a queer playwright, librettist, and filmmaker.
Recent work has been produced, commissioned, & honored by 59E59 Theaters, The New Group, The Flea, the Black List, BMI, Theatre503 (London), the Orchard Project, and the NYC Independent Film Festival.
Charles is a Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellow, a Chesley/Bumbalo Playwriting Award winner, a LABA Fellow, and a Relentless Award semifinalist. In 2021 Charles was a Drama League Award nominee for their digital short Oedipus 2.0.2.0, commissioned by All For One. MFA: NYU-Tisch (chair’s award). Charles teaches writing to Wesleyan University undergrads.
